RBS Appoints New Regional Head
Gatwick, June 2008 – The Royal Bank of Scotland ("RBS") has appointed Robin Barnes, Regional Director of Corporate Banking in the South East.
Robin has more than 20 years of banking experience spent working across the South of England including Crawley and Kent. During the last six years he has led a corporate banking team covering West Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset and has a wealth of experience in business development. As Regional Director, Robin will be heading up a team of more than 60 comprising RBS's Gatwick and Solent Corporate Banking operations.
Reporting into Robin is Ian Bain, Head of Corporate Banking for Gatwick who will continue to lead the local team. The Gatwick team comprises of 30 dedicated experts working with customers that have an annual turnover of more than £25million to help them achieve their business objectives. It benefits from a broad range of specialist teams including property and Corporate and Structured Finance, which specialises in leveraged finance transactions. In conjunction with Robin's move and his focus on driving new business, the business development team is set to expand and a new head, David Addenbrooke, Head of Business Development has been appointed. In addition, the Corporate Banking division works closely with other members of the RBS Group including Lombard, the asset finance provider, RBS Invoice Finance and Global Transaction Services to provide bespoke finance solutions.
